What are Allocated Pensions?

Allocated pensions are one of the most tax effective investment structures available to Australians.  The government has given generous tax concessions to allocated pensions to ensure that retirees can maintain their capital for as long as possible.

Allocated pensions are superannuation income stream products that have an account balance.   This account balance increases with positive investment returns and decreases with negative investment returns, pension payments and withdrawals.  Once the capital is exhausted (i.e. runs out) the pension payments will cease.

What are Term Allocated Pensions?

Term allocated pensions are one of the most tax effective investment structures available to Australians.  The government has given generous tax concessions to term allocated pensions.

Term allocated pensions are superannuation income stream products that have an account balance.   This account balance increases with positive investment returns and decreases with negative investment returns, and pension payments. Pension payments are made over a fixed term which is set at the commencement of the term allocated pension.  At the end of the term the capital is exhausted (i.e. there is no any more capital) and the pension payments will cease.
