Investors Mutual Ltd (IML) was established by Anton Tagliaferro in May 1998. As an Australian equities specialist, IML has grown steadily to nearly $4 billion in funds under management, as at 31 March 2004.
In June 1998, IML launched two wholesale funds - the IM Australian Share Fund and IM Smaller Companies Fund. Several years later, in May 2002, IML introduced two further wholesale funds: the IM Industrial Share Fund and IM Future Leaders Fund.
The Smaller Companies Fund closed to new investors in October 2002 as it reached maximum size for maintaining prudent and effective management in a limited small cap sector. On 31 May 2004 , the Future Leaders Fund also closed to new investors for similar reasons - to protect the interests of existing unitholders following the success and rapid growth of this Fund.
The large cap, wholesale, Australian Share and Industrial Share Funds are currently available on many leading Master Trusts and Wrap Services.
In December 1999 IML formed an alliance with Bendigo Bank subsidiary, Sandhurst Trustees Ltd. The retail Sandhurst Industrial Share Fund, offered to investors by Sandhurst Trustees, is managed exclusively by IML under a long term investment management agreement. |
